Description

We invite you to join us at our Spring Potluck.

Meet fellow outdoor enthusiasts, learn news about our club, have a tasty meal and hear a wonderful local speaker who has been up-close-and-personal with bald eagles and other animals!

The speaker will be Dianne Benson Davis, author of the excellent book Eagle One: Raising Bald Eagles, a Wildlife Memoir. She raised 8 eaglets one summer at Quabbin Reservoir as part of the eagle restoration project. She is also a wildlife rehabilitator, a falconer and works at the EcoTarium in Worcester. Her book will be available for purchase at $5 off the cover price.

This event is for members of the AMC Berkshire Chapter, and for others who are interested in the outdoors and looking to get move involved with the chapter and our activities.

The Appalachian Mountain Club promotes the protection, enjoyment, and understanding of the mountains, forest, waters, and trails of the Appalachian region. We believe these resources have intrinsic worth and also provide recreational opportunities, spiritual renewal, and ecological and economic health for the region. Because successful conservation depends on active engagement with the outdoors, we encourage people to experience, learn about, and appreciate the natural world. The Berkshire Chapter serves all of Western Massachusetts and parts of Eastern New York.
